My Why.
.
When I was a little girl, I never thought "when I grow up I want to move to the Keys and become a yoga teacher." . I was guided here by forces bigger than me, situations/events that led me to exactly where I am right now.  . The main trauma, if you will,  was the sudden & tragic death of my husband.  . I won't get into the details of that event, but I will tell you that from this, my business was birthed.  And, on many levels, so was I.  . Yoga was the medicine for my deep sorrow and gut wrenching grief.  . I was moved to share this practice  so that I could show people that they, too, could be their own guru, teacher and healer.  . Am I overwhelmingly thankful  for what led me to where I am now?
.
Hell no!  . Am I deeply grateful for the life that I created for myself as a way to survive and thrive through this experience?  . You bet!!  . I live with the daily brutal and beautiful awareness that none of us knows when we will take our last exhale.  . It is from that awareness that I try, every damn day, to live it as a precious opportunity and gift.  . So here I am, living in the Keys and doing what I never imagined I would ever be doing and loving every minute of it.

Even when all has gone "wrong", you can be taken to a destination unplanned yet wonderful.
.
The things you think you can't survive, you somehow divinely make it through.  .  I am oh so very grateful,  thankful, and in deep appreciation for your presence in my life.

Recent life has been a doozy. . On a personal level, my children and I have been on a viral rotation. I suffered a cough induced back injury that has been very humbling. It pained me to stand and walk.
.
.
I have let go of someone. Finally. 🙏🏼
.
. The one year anniversary of my Dad's death was
not acknowledged or experienced in the way
I wished it was due to all of the above.
.
.
Plans have been cancelled.
.
. My dog peed on my bed. All over everything.  My dryer broke when I overloaded it with the washed bedding.
.
. You get the idea.
.
. On a community level there has been much loss and grief.
. On a collective level...I can't even justify this with proper words. Suffering.
.
.
I often say that life is a play between joy and grief.  A constant letting go... .
. The contrast (the negative stuff) reminds us of how sweet life is  when it's not that.
.
.
How would we experience the light without knowing the dark?
.
. Threaded through all the muck has been beautiful moments, love, laughter, lessons, sunrises, sunsets, boat rides, good nourishing food, rest, reading, reflection and deep gratitude for wellness and resilience.
.
.
The always knowing that the attention can be shifted to what you are in deep appreciation for..moment to moment. Immediately, the vibration can be raised.
. Here it is….
.
I am alive, I am breathing, my heart is still beating, my children are both under my roof & healthy, my back is healing, my dad is with me every day in the form of an osprey, my dog is amazing despite the pee, the dryer repair man, Jason, is coming tomorrow and, I live in paradise 🌴 and did I mention I get to do what I am meant to do every damn day?! This is exciting!!!

I am blessed to have so many amazing people in my life.
